While not exactly being a Martha Stewart, I enjoy making our place attractive. There are several projects in line and I'll get pictures when they are, at least, started.
First, I need to make a bunch of pads for the dogs' crates. The current ones are dilapidated and need to be retired. I got a roll of that synthetic sheepskin and will make them double, binding them with some polyester braid. It's all readily washable, and it's comfortable for them. So far, none of them seem to like chewing it.
Then, it's time to re-upholster the bedroom walls. Years ago, I padded two of the walls including the window and have been pleased with the looks.
You can no longer find much choice of sheets, which are patterned, to finish them with. But, I found some great, hand dyed 100% cotton which is 108" wide. This way I can apply it seamlessly.
I'll make curtains, comforters, and dust ruffles to match and it will look really good.
Here it is almost Spring and yardwork not only calls, but yells. We'll get there, yes, we will.
