These
are some of my personal memorabilia which I’ve tried
to organize logically although they do range all over the
map. I’ve been blessed with a large helping of curiosity
and have followed many pursuits, being convinced that, if
I try hard, it can be done and, that, although failure is
possible, it won’t stop me from trying. There is, to
me, a most wonderful feeling, when a project, or endeavour,
works. Like when I wired my first electrical circuit and
the light came on!
A love of gardening seemed
to come with my package. There’s something
about cultivating the earth that is healing to
the soul. When everything seems bad is the time
to go to the garden.
Books.
A life’s mainstay. I can’t imagine
growing up without them. Poetry; to have those
lines echoing through your mind is one of life’s
bounties. Drama; not to know any lines from
Shakespeare … a void. Music; those melodies
that live in your head are with you always … hymns
of my childhood, resounding at the oddest times.
Opera .. another blessing.
Scuba diving. A late onset
underwater miracle. Driving .. that great American
(yes, I should say USA) thrill. Oh,
those great open roads.
My family .. some of our
joys. Forget the other aspects. Sewing and knitting,
those tender and peaceful arts. Birds … both
feeding and watching them … some times
of pure delight. Fishing … catching that
big one or those small ones.
Enjoy.
