Pax'
Perpetua (Perry) was my dream girl. She was by Am/Can
Ch Pax' Victory of Incognito (Tory) ex Pax' Magnificat
of Cachet (Migs) and she was beautiful.
Her
show career was delayed since I'd had trouble getting
her ears to stand.
In July
of 2003, she won her class at a Boxer Specialty, looking
good. On August 10 th of that year, I found her dead,
in her run, early in the morning on the hottest day
of the year. She was warm and there was evidence of
great stress (liquid fæcal pools) although I
found no fang marks or foreign objects.
She,
and her sire, had daily shouting matches for an hour
or so (morning and evening) and displayed amazing stamina,
never stopping save for a few minutes to recharge.
I'd heard them that day but got up late.
No,
to my shame. I didn't have her posted. I just couldn't.
Her ashes adorn a flower bed.
